Introduction
At Overwood People Consulting, we believe that everyone deserves to be treated with dignity, respect, and in accordance with their legal rights.
Modern slavery is a crime and a violation of fundamental human rights. It takes various forms, such as slavery, servitude, forced and compulsory labour and human trafficking, all of which have in common the deprivation of a person’s liberty by another to exploit them for personal or commercial gain.
At Overwood People Consulting, we are fully committed to conducting our business fairly, ethically, and in accordance with people’s fundamental human rights.
We are fully committed to preventing all forms of slavery, forced labour or servitude, child labour and human-trafficking, both in our business and in our supply chain. We take a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and will take appropriate steps should we have reason to believe it is occurring at any stage.
This policy applies to all persons working for us or on our behalf in any capacity, including employees at all levels, directors, officers, agency workers, seconded workers, volunteers, interns, agents, contractors, external consultants, third-party representatives, and business partners. This policy does not form part of any employee’s contract of employment, and we may amend it at any time.
What are we Doing to Prevent Slavery and Human Trafficking

Reporting Breaches of Modern Slavery
Our team must immediately report any suspicions of Modern Slavery or human-trafficking in our business or supply chain to a Company Director, who will investigate within a reasonable time, and will take the appropriate action.
Our team will not be treated unfavourably if they report any genuine concerns raised in good faith in accordance with this policy. This applies even if, after investigation, they are found to be mistaken.
